So I went to Marrakech, it was cool but shit at the same time. it has a weird contrast between the old city and the new city, which at times is interesting but a bit off putting at the same time. For a black person I can say I never really felt out of place. always very welcomed and treated respectfully. I personally wouldn't advice anyone to spend more than 3 days in Marrakech, I unfortunately made the mistake of booking 5 long ass days days. once you've gone to the markets, done one excursion and visited the YSL museum the holiday is pretty much done. I tried my best to to have the real Moroccan experience and stay in a riyadh, after one day I said fuck this shit and went to stay at a 5 star hotel called the sofitel (highly recommended). Also, Morocco isn't as cheap as one might think the prices pretty much match up to that of the UK - this is in regards to food and general lifestyle activity. O, I forgot to say everyone is a f*cking hustler in Morocco, so dont let them mug you off. Be sure to take a good long look at the restaurants you eat at some of the spots in the old town source there meats from really poorly kept local butchers.
